The most suitable rental car is not necessarily the biggest or the cheapest. The good choice is the model that offers enough space, comfort and autonomy for the real route, without paying for things you don't need.
If you land in Craiova, you can have an urban program, a business trip in the region or a trip through several cities. In each situation, the criteria change.
Start with passengers and luggage
The number of seats on the car sheet doesn't tell the whole story. A five-seater car may be comfortable for five people in the city, but not enough if everyone is coming from the airport in a large trolley.
Before you choose, note:
- the number of adults and children;
- how much large luggage you have;
- how much cabin baggage must be transported;
- if you need a seat for the child;
- if a passenger needs easier access;
- how many hours you will spend in the car.
For two people with little luggage, a compact car may be enough. For four adults with luggage, check the luggage compartment carefully or choose a higher class.
Small car for Craiova
A city car is easy to maneuver and park. It can be the effective choice for meetings, traveling between the hotel and the office or a weekend where you don't leave the city often.
However, do not choose exclusively by consumption. If luggage takes up the seat or passengers are cramped, the initial economy no longer compensates for the discomfort.
Automatic or manual
Automatic transmission can reduce fatigue in traffic and is useful for those who do not drive a manual car frequently. A manual transmission may offer more options in certain grades and periods.
Select the desired transmission in the reservation and check the confirmed model or class. Don't assume that a photo of a car automatically means the same transmission for every available variant.
For long drives, check the mileage limit
If you depart from Craiova to several destinations, estimate the total distance. Includes local roads and an allowance for route changes.
Wise Cars protections can include 100km per day, 200km per day or unlimited kilometres. The right variant depends on the trip. For an extended route, the difference between the limits may matter more than the daily price of the car.
The SUV is not necessary for every trip
An SUV may offer a higher position, space and comfort, but it is not automatically the best choice. For urban commuting it can be harder to park and consume more than a compact model.
Choose it if the space, access, luggage or route type justifies the difference. For regular public roads, a well-chosen sedan or compact model may be sufficient.
Rented cars must be used according to the contract and not tthey must be treated as vehicles for non-permitted or off-road routes.
If you will drive in turns
Any person driving must be declared. The additional driver presents the documents and must meet the age and experience rules.
Premium Plus includes an additional driver for free. For the other protections, the service is charged. Include it before confirmation, not after you've started your trip.
The protection is chosen together with the car
Don't treat protection as the same product for all cars. Check the deposit, liability, mileage and services for the selected car.
In eligible situations, Premium Plus may have zero deposit. Credit card is not required; Wise Cars accepts debit card, credit card and bank transfer. Cash is not accepted.
The age and length of the license influence the options. The general rule for choosing without further restrictions is a minimum of 23 years and 3 years of driving license. For drivers under 23 or over 69, stricter rules apply and zero deposit is not available.
You can end the route in another city
If the itinerary does not bring you back to Craiova, check the return at another Wise Cars location. The service is available against the relocation fee shown for the selected route and must be confirmed in the booking.
This option can also change the choice of car. For a long trip between several cities, comfort and space may become more important than the small size preferred in the city.
How the takeover takes place in Craiova
In Craiova, the car is brought directly to Craiova Airport, to the meeting point communicated after confirmation. The operations team is located approximately two minutes from the airport. A shuttle to an outside office is not required.
